About the event
The Cookout brings the joy, connection, and traditions of a family reunion into the Crown Me camp experience—where food, music, movement, and community come together in celebration of culture.
Throughout the week, campers will prepare cookout-inspired favorites while learning the stories and traditions that make gathering around food so meaningful. From measuring and mixing to sharing and serving, the kitchen becomes a space for teamwork, confidence, and connection.
Beyond cooking, children will enjoy line dances, rhythm games, outdoor field day challenges, dominoes, double dutch, and relay races that encourage cooperation, leadership, and joyful play. Community circles, storytelling, and affirmations help campers build friendships and a strong sense of belonging.
As a special highlight, campers will spend a day at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier, enjoying rides, games, and ocean views. We'll wrap up the week with a festive Crown Me Cookout Celebration filled with lunch, music, laughter, and favorite games…

- Full Day Camp runs 8am-3pm. - Extended Care is available until 5 pm. - Campers present for Extended Care without prior registration will be billed $25 per day.
