This summer, Crown Me brings the joy of a family cookout to camp. Children will cook, dance, play, and connect through traditions that celebrate culture, togetherness, and Black joy.

About the event
The Cook Out brings the heart of a family reunion into the Crown Me camp experience—where food, music, movement, and play come together in celebration of culture and community.
Children will participate in hands-on soul food cooking, learning not just how to prepare food, but the stories and traditions that live around the table. From measuring and mixing to sharing and reflecting, the kitchen becomes a space for teamwork, pride, and connection.
Beyond the kitchen, campers will move together through line dancing, rhythm games, and group movement inspired by cookout classics. Outdoor field game challenges encourage cooperation, confidence, and joyful competition, while classic games like dominoes and double dutch connect generations through play.
Throughout the week, children experience the warmth of family reunion vibes—shared laughter, call-and-response moments, community circles, and affirmations that remind every camper they belong.

- Full Day Camp runs 8am-3pm. - Extended Care is available until 5 pm. - Campers present for Extended Care without prior registration will be billed $25 per day.
