About the event
Journey in Nature Week is a Crown Me experience rooted in exploration, reflection, and connection to the natural world. Designed for curious minds and active bodies, this week invites campers to step outside, move with intention, and discover how nature supports growth, creativity, and well-being.
Throughout the week, campers will participate in guided nature walks, outdoor scavenger hunts, collaborative games, and hands-on creative projects inspired by the environment. A highlight of the week is a Morning Hike through El Prieto Canyon, where campers will learn about the history of Robert Owens, one of Pasadena’s early Black landowners, and reflect on the relationship between land, legacy, and belonging.
Additional activities may include nature journaling, texture and leaf art, group challenges, and reflection circles that encourage observation, teamwork, and self-expression.
Journey in Nature Week blends movement, creativity, history, and community—centered on care, joy, and meaningful experiences that extend beyond the moment.
